I am looking to go away for the weekend with the car now that summer looks like it might be here, (probably wales / midlands ) but am struggling to find anywhere to stay that offers covered secure parking.

Does anybody have any experiences of staying anywhere with this facility??

ANY ideas appeciated as i dont really want to have to buy a covered trailer.

I used to keep my first westy on the street outside my flat in Edinburgh with only an alarm and immobilizer to protect it. I never experienced any problems with anyone tampering with it. Last summer I left my new car parked up in various cities around Europe wile me and the wife went sightseeing, without experiencing any significant problems. Only in Amsterdam had the alarm been triggered, however this might have just been somebody getting too close as the microwave sensor is easy to activate even on its lowest sensitivity setting. Anyhow there was no sign of anything being out of place or missing. If it were me I would not be too bothered about being able to find accommodation with secure parking, but would look for somewhere that is perhaps a little bit out the way, and out of town.

Forgot to mention I removed the steering wheel and took it with me each time as well.
