Hi All,

I'm picking up my SDV starter kit tomorrow (sat morning) :)  :)

Can't wait, don't think I'll sleep tonight.

Do I need to take anything with me i.e. covers, blankets to protect the body etc

Yes take stuff to secure and molly coddle your new baby in transit! The factory will do some bubble wrap corrigated carboard but I would take some as you can never have enough

When we went to get our kit I was so over-excited that I left all the packing materials behind.  The guys at Westfield took it all in their stride.  I'd guess I wasn't the only one.

I'll be a great day  :D  :D

i took a flatbed trailer which the chassis and tub went on, it was tied down with some webbing straps and a few bits of well palced corugated board. the rest of the kit (i only bought the chassis/bodywork part of the kit) went in the back of my car wrapped up well.

i would take as many soft blankets/douvets/sheets as you can as the more stuff you have to wrap up the bodywork the better. the guys in the factory did all the work and covered anything i had missed, top marks to them

I've just picked up the hire van and spent the last 20 minutes covering the floor with old blankets and towels, much to the amusement of swmbo

Thanks for the tips, roll on tomorrow :)  :)
