NeilM Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I'm running a Duratec with Weber Alpha throttle bodies standard factory setup) and it looks like I need to add a second return spring based on reading some old topics. Does anyone have any experience of adding an extra spring they would like to share? It looks like I can run one alongside the existing one at the throttle body end where the cable meets the linkage, but there is no where else I can see to fit one even if I start manufacturing brackets etc. Obviously I am planning ahead here as I don't need this until scrutineering at Aintree on Saturday! What was that saying about proper planning? Quote
Mid life crisis Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 If you can PM me with your email address. I can send you a solution when using twin 40's, but have no idea what relevence it has to TB'S. But may be of some help to you. Quote
Asterix Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I don't think the double return spring is relevant to TB's...only carbs....need corroborration Quote
Mark Stanton Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Throbble botties already have built in returns Double return springs is only relevant to Carbs - again its one of the old bits of rules and legislation that hasn't been updated Quote
