Ahhhh…..Cue Silly Grin…….

It’s been almost two years since I took my Westie off the road to do the megasquirt conversion. Got it almost finished at the end of winter before last but had to drop the job as I got too busy with other (paying) work. Then last summer was cr*p and I was still busy anyway so the poor-old girl slept in the garage for the year. For the past two weeks I’ve been doing short hops around the houses to test it and that felt good….

BUT TODAY….

I had my first serious data-logging run and, OH GOD, how I’ve missed driving it. Even though it’s nowhere near tuned (running way too rich) it’s just so much smoother than it ever used to be on carbs.

I’ve had this silly grin plastered to my chops ever since.

Cheers Guys,

DerekJ

I'm similar. Very much looking forward to fitting my new engine and getting my fat A*** to Stonleigh. Car's not turned a wheel in 18 months when I blew it up!

Just look forward to the day! It will be great.

Several beers later and my silly grin's looking even bigger and sillier now! SWMBO's getting fed-up of me telling her how good it was and may even throw somthing at me if I don't stop

Funnily enough I drove mine today for the first time since New Years Day. Fired up first time! My bad back is still... bad though. Getting in and out took a while
