Gregaldo Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Gents, Im a fairly new member and have caught the full westie fever, which is amazing however think the girlfriend isnt that impressed. Oh well!!! Ok this is a general post as i have finished my westy last june and now very keen to take it over to le mans. Im excited yet a little apprehensive having not done an adventure like this before specially in a 7 like car. Im basically trying to gauge interest if theres a big group of people going from here? if so do you meet up and go together or if anyone has any essential tips. Tickets and passes have all been purchased today so it a definitely going ahead. Look forward to hearing from anyone Cheers Greg Quote
Blatman Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Pick the bones out of this lot. Le Mans isn't that big a drive if you do a crossing to Le Harve, Caen, Dieppe, Cherbourg or St Malo. If you live north of Nottingham/Stoke on Trent etc, you'll do more miles this side of the channel than that... Quote

Not if you go Hull-Zebrugge as we have done and will be doing it again for the 'classic' in July. The idea for the Hull Zebrugge run is basically we've all seen the boring motorways in the uk !! plus the over night on the ferry is all part of the hols and its usually a giggle. The run thro' Belgium into France is a very leisurely drive down to An Roué which is our overnight stop On the 2nd day we have an absolute 120 mile blast on the country roads down to Le-Mans.
