simmi Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Hi All Has any one got a KODAK M753 7.2MP DIGITAL CAMERA I am thinking about buying off ebay does any one know if they are any good? Neil http://search.ebay.co.uk/search....CAMERA+ Quote
Norman Verona Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 7 mp is a a large size file for such a small camera. If you take lots of photo's (easy with digital) then you'll need an SD memory card. If you do take lots of pictures and store them on your computer you'll need a lot of disk space. I've no experience of this particular camera but it'll do what it says it should. Kodak is a trusted make and you shouldn't have any problems. But remember it is a low cost digital camera. I may have just told you everything you already know and if so I apologise. Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I have a 5Mp Kodak and a 2.1Mp Fujifilm. The Kodak's colour rendering is inferior (far too warm) to the Fuji and I much prefer the subjective quality of the latter even though you would expect more than twice the pixel count to produce a better result. Pixels are not the whole story. Quote
pistonbroke Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I agree with MOTCO ther's more to it than the no of pixels. Had great results with Cannon in the past but I'm recently converted to Lumix (panasonic ) As with most things these days you get what you pay for in the final countdown . Not a fan of Ebay myself , I like to see before I buy and try things out with a bit of proffessional advice . Ive also got a better deal from local camera shops than was offered on Ebay I would also consider on line buying from Dixons and cameras4u Quote
jak Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I agree with Bernie, forget pixels. I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix TZ3. absolutely cracking pictures in varying light conditions. I got a 2Gb card with mine, holds approx 700 photos, video mode is pretty good too. Highly recommend it for normal family/holiday type stuff. Probably twice the price of the Kodak. The best price I could find on the 'net was £175 inc. P&P. That is just for the camera alone, approx £200 for case and 2Gb card. I ended up doing a deal with a local shop, as I won't to see and try before I bought one. John Quote
nlash Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Leave the Kodak well alone, trust me, its not a good camera. Panasonic Lumix TZ3 however, as stated above, is a superb compact with a Leica lens (10x optical zoom). Search Amazon UK, currently well priced on there. The Kodak is cheap for reason Quote
