Barry Ashcroft Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Princess Diana unlawfully killed We'll I'm glad they cleared that one up Quote
Norman Verona Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 And in double quick time. I wonder who we should send the bill too. Big store in Knightsbridge may be an idea. Funny thing is I've been saying since the conspiricay theories started that if the pro's were going to kill her it wouldn't be like that. Too unreliable. Wife said, until recentley that "they killed her 'cause she was pregnant" However we have a friend who still insists the royal family had her killed. I keep trying to explain that they just wouldn't care. They don't care what we, their subjects, think so why would they worry anout princess Di as they had disowned her. Might as well talk to the wall. Friend says it must be true because the Sun said so. Quote
rustie Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Well at least that'll be an end to all the conspiracy theories and speculation Quote
Asterix Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I saw her last week, buying chips in me local, "Presley's chips" Wonder if they'll have an inquiry into why we spent £8M on an inquiry that added about as much value as a Lotus 7 badge on a Westfield. Quote
Pilot Pete Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Princess Diana unlawfully killed We'll I'm glad they cleared that one up Wasn't this the 3rd inquest or something? What a waste of time/money/resources. Quote
DanB Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 10 million? Bargain. The Saville Inquiry (looking into b****y Sunday) has already cost £181 million and is still eating up money like there's no tomorrow. And it'll probably conclude it's all very difficult and we couldn't really say... Quote
dombanks Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 does meanwe can have a string of diana jokes? what does diana for? . . . . . . . . . . . Died in a nasty acident ....... ill get my coat. Quote
Steven (WE51STE) Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Just think what else the government could have spent 10 million OF OUR HARD EARNED TAXES on : 1% of a plastic tent for a year. Lifetime TV License & Sky Subscription for all members of the house. 500 additional speed SCAMeras. Quote
Norman Verona Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 To put things into perspective this was an Inquest. It, by law, had to take place, as it does in all deaths of this nature. The other two were inquiries. The Met enquiry came to the same conclusion (even though I've seen reports that say otherwise) As to the conspiricay theory Al Fayed will go to his grave screaming "conspiricy". The press will give him a lot of coverage as they think it sells papers. If you shout untruths loud and long people will believe you. Quote
Bananaman Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Al Fayed is Barking!!!!!!!!!!! He needs to let it go and move on... I bet some lawers are having a right laugh at his (and our) expense! Quote
Norman Verona Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Andy, agree about his lawyers but why our expense? Quote
Blatman Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 QUOTE Friend says it must be true because the Sun said so. Yup. Makes my blood boil. "They said so in 'The Papers', so it must be true" Whatever happened to trying to work out what they didn't say in the papers? There was a prime example on Sky News this morning. The news ticker has a survey result which said that 33% of people believed that Brown was worse than Blair. Fair enough, and if taken at face value, tabloid readers will saying that Brown is on the way down. On the other hand, it also says by implication that 66% of people either don't care enough to worry about it, or think Brown is actually better than Blair, in which case things are looking quite rosy for our soon to be ex PM. Basically, *never* take what anyone in authority or journalism says as the whole truth 'cos it rarely is... As for Diana, unlawfully killed. We all knew that. We moved on 10 years ago. If it had been a conspiracy by a covert agency, we'd be mourning the untimely death of a Princess who had an undaignosed medical condition... Quote

Carl Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 QUOTE If it had been a conspiracy by a covert agency, we'd be mourning the untimely death of a Princess who had an undaignosed medical condition... Didn't work for Litvinenco's killers (spelling) For a famous person always chased by the press and who never wore a seatbelt, a car accident would be a perfect cover. Easy to deny and blame on the press Quote
