Westfield PCD?ET?BORE? Wheel Specs

Heya,

New to the forum.

My name is Harry Gordon-Finlayson and my father is John; we are based nr York.

We recently purchased a Westfield Dunnell 16V in black. Some of you have met it already with us in it today at croft.... (Andrew). It is no. 20.... may give you a clue as to which car it is!

Just an initial qn for our track day present plans (Cadwell next wed). As got rejected from croft today due to noise levels.... 102db woops. Thought we were 96db!

I presently have some 'Minispeed' 13" x 7J - H2 Wheels with Dunlop Sport Tyres on.

I want to get a set of wheels & tyres to go on the car for now for track days and getting used to the car days etc and then next yr when i enter the Westy Championship races i will put the original racing wheels back on. Aso useful incase of punctures to have spares!

May well be this yr that i appear at the odd raceday...

Spotted some minilights on midlandwheels.com

Just wondering which spec wheels would fit. Think these are the right ones but not sure which pcd/bore set i need!

Hopefully going to try for a discount as getting some new alloys for my golf in the next few days and midlandwheels happen to have them, at the lowest price on the net! Bulk discount maybe...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Harry.

What year is the car ?

is it fixed or detatch rear arches?

it is a wide body. think detachable rear arches (as you can see a join between arches and body!)

year we are not too sure about, 2004 or 2006?

Slightly confused by your post - what original racing wheels did the car come with? Why don't you just use these?

I don't know about Midland Wheels or the wheels you mention but if you're wanting to race the car then you should get wheels as light as possible - ask Midland how heavy the wheels are, I bet they weigh a lot  ;)

May be worth weighing your current "race wheels" too.

As for the spec of the wheel, try a search as there's lots of useful discussion on Off Sets.

we are going to use the racing wheels that it came with but want another set so we have spares in case of flats on racedays etc.

the wheels we have are minispeed 13" x 7j - H2 on the rim. think we are gunna have to take the wheel off to see more details on the otherside of wheel.

cheers.

Good idea to have a second set of wheels.

I still think you should check the wheel weights first. The wheels you are looking at are £70 but I suspect you could find much lighter wheels such as Compomotive CXR's for not much more money. You will probably find these are much lighter than your current "Minispeed" wheels too.

Just out of interest, I know Minispeed supply a lot of different wheel types, which ones are yours?

i am not sure which ones they are. we are gunna whip a wheel off and weigh it etc so we have a comparison. also will try and read some more details off.

i cant find minispeed website/company?? tried google but no hope!

13" CXR's with 185 x 60  AO48's should be around 12kg total.

PCD = 108mm

Offset = depends...

Centre bore = 63.4mm if I recall correctly. I'll need to check :oops:

63.4mm sounds right to me, as i recently fitted some new ones and had to fit the spigots to sleave them down just right. sure they said 63.4 on them.

I would not trust the OFFSET stamped on the wheel, I would measure it to be sure. may last set said ET5, but they were ET21.

PCD108, ford 4 stud, ford(RWD) concentric hub mount 63.4 with what ever Et you need.

Like custard says though, you may want to think about this a bit, as a really light wheel like a CRX might be worth considering.
