Here for sale is my 1973 Austin Mini Stage Rally Car. It is an extremely competitive car in the right hands and has been very well looked after, it has had numerous comments on its build quality and scrutineers alike. Reason for sale is a new baby and cant afford to go rallying anymore:-(

Spec:

MED 1380 engine only done 4 events, 73.5 Forged Omega pistons off set bored, Miglia spec crank lightened balanced x-drilled and knife edged. Lightened and balanced rods. Kent 296 camshaft and vernier duplex timing gear. Full race cylinder head with silicon bronze guides, steel race valves, 220lb valve springs, fully ported and matched to exhaust/inlet manifolds. New weber 45dcoe and linkage. Uprated 70 amp alternator. 4 core radiator. Maniflow large bore LCB and single box exhaust system. 122bhp when last on rollers. Engine oil and filter change after every event regardless and full engine out check just done.

Gearbox: Tran-x 4 speed straight cut, close ratio gearbox. Tran-x straight cut 1 to 1 ratio drop gears. Tran-x 4 pinion diff with 3.9 to 1 competition crown wheel and pinion. Uprated ST driveshaft and output shafts.Brand new AP Rally Orange rated clutch fitted one event ago

Brakes: Cooper S 7.5 inch discs with 1144 mintex pads with new discs, spaced cooper S rear drums with mintex M20 competition linings, hydraulic handbrake cables retained for MOT also.Braided flexi hoses.Adjustable bias to rear brakes.

Suspension: Heavy duty on car adjustable bottom arms and adjustable tie bars, uprated poly bushes and solid subframe mounts. Spax adjustable shock absorbers and competition rubber springs. New adjustable rear camber and tracking brackets fitted by Green and White Mini spares with full geometry set up, hi-lo ride height adjusts. Mini light 6x10inch almost new wheels with yokohama A008 tyres fitted. 3 other various wheel and tyres sets included.

Interior: Motordrive kevlar lightweight seats, Willans 4 point harnesses with aircraft style buckles(in date) Plumbed in and hand held fire extinguishers all just renewed and date stamped, battery master cut off. Various auxillary gauges. Uprated wiring loom with extra auxillarys included. Aeroquip fuel lines. Brake lines inside car. Head lining retained incase of being used for road rallies. New pull cables fitted.

Body: fully seam welded 1992 bodyshell, Safety devices 6 point roll cage with door bars and dash brace. weber bulkhead box, rear seat and rear pockets cut away. Painted inside and out in yellow and black 2 pack paint. Alloy 8mm reinforced sumpguard. Seam welded and gusseted front and rear subframes painted black. Sealed bulkheads.

Also included in the sale are four Cibie Super Oscar Spotlights mounted on brackets for quick fitting in the classic two up, two down position.

The registration plates are worth a fair bit on their own and I have been asked by a few mini Owners if it is for sale. However I kept them as they are in keeping with the car.

A years MOT will be suppliedwith the car, however it is not taxed as its only been used on single venue events.

This is a fully prepared ready to use rally car, MSA log booked,This car is very quick and can keep up with much larger and expensive kit due to its power to weight.

Price shown includes its own perfectly working and in very good order twin axel braked trailer with tyre rack.

Build costs are well in excess of 12,000 pounds, this is available at a fraction of the cost at 6750 gbp for the package. Will negotiate for just the car.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN INVITED TO TAKE PART IN THE CHATSWORTH RALLY SHOW IN JUNE (7TH)HOWEVER IT MAY BE SOLD IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT EARLIER.
