Pilot Pete Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 All of sudden youtube vids wont work. I get the: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player." error. I have the latest flash and I have checked the settings, but still wont work. I presume its a setting or something I'm overlooking. Any suggestions? Quote
Pilot Pete Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 do you get the same error code for "youporn" That is a great idea Jeff, I will go and "test" it now. Yep works, as does google video. Turned off windows firewall, still no dice! Quote

Pilot Pete Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 no probs here just viewed this to check just cos I can At the moment, all I can watch is your poorly produced efforts on google video. While I'm on about internet woes. Were with sky, been pretty good up until a couple of weeks ago. Its started dying every 10 to 20 minutes or so. It'll go off for between a minute and 5 minutes, then be fine for another 10-20 minutes, then die again. Anyone experinced this? Quote

Pete I've just acquired a camera of truth(mini dv) what software and leads do i need or ports as i can look for a laptop with required ports when the insurance comes for this one Scott You want a firewire cable (IEEE 1394) and a port on the laptop to support it. You can use the USB cable but the firewire does seem a canny bit better, plus you can control the camera from the PC when you use it. That IT wizard JeffC was the 1st to use firewire I believe out the bishop crew, didn't realise there'd be much difference until I tried it myself. For editing I use moviemaker which comes with windows. There is better software out there, but moviemaker does the job for what I want to use. I will probably get some better software at some point, but I'm not busting a gut to get it. Only problem with moviemaker is the max speed it downloads movies is 2.1mbps I think. For better quality you'll need to find some seperate software. I've started using Pinnacles Instant Cinema which is some software that came with my cd burner drive. I could probs do you a copy if your burner doesn't come with it. Quote
