MattBone Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Is it me just getting to keen trying to find a car... Or are used SEiGHTS rarer than Rocking Horse Poo??? Quote
catflap Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Yeh, there is one in the auto trader for 10k on a 94 Im after a mega car , so suit my price, hard to find right now, maybe in winter they will come out for sale? Quote
MattBone Posted May 11, 2002 Author Posted May 11, 2002 Tell me about it... I was going up to see it tomorrow with a deposit (of the Money kind) in hand... All the way from Weymouth up to West Yorks! 6Hr drive up and then the same back- Nice! Sod's law though, as it was sold on Wednesday! Nice car though... hopefully there could be another out there like it, but maybe without the GAY three spoked alloys!!! Quote
AshJackson Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 Nice car though... hopefully there could be another out there like it, but maybe without the GAY three spoked alloys!!! LOL. I want an SEiGHT too (is that too mad for an everyday car?) But discounted that same one for exactly that reason! BTW, what are peoples thoughts on the maintenance requirements if I were to do 10k+ mile per year in an seight? Not to mention having to sell my bodys parts to pay for fuel. Quote
SEiGHT Posted May 11, 2002 Posted May 11, 2002 I do about 9-10k a year in mine, and the only maintenance costs are the usual ones (service, oil change, new plugs, pads, tyres etc.) Mine was a from-new factory build, although you should expect more wear and tear on a self-build one from second hand parts... Current tyres have done 15k, just changed the pads though as I've started to do track days. Think I might get another track day out of these tyes, then some new ones (they are Avon ZV1) Yeah, fuel is a bit of a problem though Quote
MattBone Posted May 12, 2002 Author Posted May 12, 2002 Wouldn't an SEiGHT be a bit too extreme as an everyday car? Those winter evenings, when it's chucking down buckets of Rain??? I can think of better every day cars... ...or can I get expelled from the WSCC for suggesting such an idea?! Quote
SEiGHT Posted May 12, 2002 Posted May 12, 2002 Wouldn't an SEiGHT be a bit too extreme as an everyday car? I've read that sentance about a hundred times and it still doesn't make any sense whatsoever. In particular the words "too extreme" are causing me trouble Quote
AshJackson Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 A devil must have possessed me and I was speaking in tongues. What I meant to say was: "I couldn't possibly accept anything less than an SEiGHT and everyday use is absolutly essential". Quote
peterg Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 there is(was) a SEIGHT for sale on the Surrey Area website (find the link under Local Events) Quote
Midds Posted May 13, 2002 Posted May 13, 2002 Would an aero-screened busa be a bit "too extreme" as an every day car if you rack up about 1500 + miles a month? Midds Quote
Timo Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 There is a particularly fine example for sale. I've had the car a year but want to go back to rallying. Full spec and photo on www.propertysnaps.co.uk/westfield Quote
