Just cracked the screen on me laptop. So is it repairable as in a new screen or is it just for the bin. It'll be covered on the insurance. Also found me telephoto lense for me camera is also goosed so great day       I can just work out whats going on through all the lines and the big black splodge

the screens can be replaced but it will be the wrong side of £200 so unless it's a high spec then it will probably be a right off.

Have a search on eBay, they can normally be swapped out simply enough. Be lucky to get a screen under £100, and more around £200-£250 if it's a decent spec screen.

If you dont move it around much, could get a cheap a** CRT monitor and just use it like a PC.

Drag it all over pete. Visits garage when workin on car for reference etc. Was just thinkin if i got it replaced on insurance i could fix it cheap i thought and would do for the parents.
