OK ..  i admit it i can't revers park

i've just got my hands on a brand new dispatch van (my first van ever) and i struggle to judge the distance of things behind me

i know if i go to far i will hear a crunching sound but there must be a better way than that  :bangshead:

i've looked at parking sensors but they all seem to show photos of sensors that need to be fitted using a drill

my van is leased and i have to hand it back without holes in the bumper

please help me

awaits sarcastic comments from cooper

i can reverse park ..  i live in a terraced street where i have to reverse park most days out side my own home

but i just can't judge the back of the van , maybe because i look over my shoulder in the car

now i need to use them big shiny things on the sides of the van

just tell me where i can get a good cheap parking sensor :)

its a van, just touch park.......... :)

that would be my answer ,  if i didn't have to stump up a bill for damage  ;)

Take your van and some old cones or similar to an quiet car park and have a practise.

Honestly, after a while you will never look back (literally!) - I find its a lot easier using mirrors... :t-up:

Pete already googled and ebayed sensors

look at the size of them sensors  , looks like i need a bosh drill to fit um

also wireless would be better  . or risk the chance of more holes in the body :(

You can use new ones, but old ones are easier to come by

Mark, we fit shed loads of these at work, drilling required tho. if you give me a shout, I'll fit you a set, for a VERY reasonable sum  ;)  ;)

Shouldn't be a problem drilling, after all you are enhancing the vehicle  ;)

Reverse parking using mirrors on my van is a pain, (LWB Tranny). And the reason? The b****y mirrors magnify the image!!!!

Ive seen reverse sensors that can be stuck on. As said above though shouldnt have thought getting them fitted will be a problem though as your enhancing the vehicle.

Just as an aside though why not give the leasing company a bell and ask em??
