neilb Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 What would it take to impose a "minimum" speed restriction and how would you apply that to a car that has been involved in an accident, has a flat tyre or some other problem. I don't see the issue, surely it's down the teams and drivers to get the best out of the car at the time they go out, if it happens that cars are going slowly on the track then to bad, as long as they don't brake test or pull some other stunt to a car on a hot lap. They have 10 minutes to get the fastest lap in so they can do 2 or 3 fast laps. Quote
pistonbroke Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 That would then be a yellow flag I would have thought Quote
neilb Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 That would then be a yellow flag I would have thought What the drivers carry a yellow flag as the try to get a damaged car back to the pits....how do you determine the minimum speed, is it the speed the car with least points can get round the slowest corner with full tanks and a low down force setting, as ideas go it's right up there with the 1 set of tyres rule Quote
pistonbroke Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Dont be silly Neil , a track marshal would walk behind each car waving a flag of corse What else do marshals do Quote
