Crashed it :-(

Well after spending the day last Sunday setting my Westfield suspension up I managed to smash it up :-(

I had originally set the suspension up far too low, 130cm from the deck. So I decided to spend last sunday setting it back to the manual settings. I took it out and the handling was much better. Before the bumps in the French roads used to make our organs crash together, with the raised ride height, this all went away.

I decided to take it along for a spin near my home, where I pass up through a windy road, through some trees. I came around a R/H bend and the car stapped out to the left, so I turned left to compensate, and the R/H rear arch ploughed into the barrier, cracking it in two places and scuffing it too.

I rang WF to price a new tub £597 + vat + Carriage to the south of France

Then today I went to the bank, and upon returning to my beloved Porsche Boxster I found that some B'tard had decided to carve an X into my passenger side door

really gutted, I love my cars and now, just as the weather is picking up and I could be out enjoying them. they are both in a mess.

I'm going to spend tomorrow getting quotes for the Porsche and possibly the Westfield. I get my Porsche serviced at a place called SC Performances in Cugneux who are specialists in Ferrari, Lambourgini etc and are actually quite reasonable, so they should do a good job......I hope

BAd luck m8e, am sure it will be sorted before summer (which I believe is on June 17th this year).

Also, 130cm sounds too high to me, rather than too low.

A rare thing in France.... they tend to respect the vehicle.

probably some foreigner person! :p

My son had a S reg Vauxhall cavalier for 4 years, the wheel trims went the first week he had it, it was never touched again.

He brought a 53 plate Jaguar last month..... :)

2 days in someone put a key down the rear 1/4 panel  :(  :(

Cheers for the replys and support guy's. Today things are looking a little better. I went to SC Performances and they sent me to their bodyshop Bourges. He told me that he could paint the both doors, rear bumper and rear quarter (long story) for a mere €600.

Bearing in mind this guy repairs Ferrari, Porsche and Lambourgini I was well impressed. He said (in French) that he was vary busy, took my number and said he would call. He was busy preparing a car for Nogero which is later this month :-)

The garage is awesome, today they had a F355, Corvette C5, AMG Merk, that 4 seater Ferarri and lots of nice Porsches including a GT3. I love going there, as long as its for the right reasons

Mark, just realised it's you!

Dad sent me some pictures of the damage. I suggested you pay for him to have a week off to come over and repair it for you.

Good luck with the repairs.

130cm - that's about 4 feet - way too high!

Sorry to hear about your crash - hope you get them both sorted soon.
