davebo Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hi, I'm about to fit cooling system for 2.0L Duratec HE. I've received the hose kit and heater kit from Westfield and my radiator is fitted. The hose kit consists of a selection of rubber and metal pipes. I assume I will need to cut down rubber pipes to fit. Does anyone have some pictures of how it all fits together as getting from the collection of pipes to the finished article shown in the build manual isn't obvious! There seems to be some re-wiring required to get thermostat to operate correctly. Is this the method everyone else uses ? The manual shows a metal Y shaped tube is needed but I didnt get one in the hose kit. I guess I'll need to call up WF to get them to send it on.. Many thanks for your help. Quote
Symbiotic_Caterpillar Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 They have changed things a bit from what is in the manual. The thermostat for the fan is now in the radiator. This means that the Y piece is not required any longer. You blank off the connection on the engine marked A in the engine supplement manual using the rubber thing that looks like it came off the end of a walking stick. If you PM me your email address I will email you the photos that the factory sent me when I was at that stage in my build. It is still worth having a chat with the factory if you are unsure of anything. Quote
