RobC Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 started watching slipstream last night, and had to switch it off.. very hard going.. so stear well clear... if you've not seen it check out talladega nights shake and bake my friend... Quote
Norman Verona Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Sound of Music is good. (about the last time I went to the flicks) Quote
Asterix Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 started watching slipstream last night, and had to switch it off.. very hard going.. so stear well clear... if you've not seen it check out talladega nights shake and bake my friend... Talladega Nights is 87 minutes of boredom and maybe 1 or 2 laughs (and I can't even remember what they were). Not that they're at the cinema, but this weekend I watched "Evan Almighty" (very funny), Ratatouille (amusing in places) and "The Illusionist" (good yet predictable- then again, I'm 39yo, most films are predictable now). Bananaman Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 Think i'm gonna try 'No Country For Old Men' 4 Oscars so can't be too bad Quote
BuGsBuNnY Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 No country for old men is very very good. Typical Coen bros dark masterpiece, I thoroughly recommend it. Quote
Blatman Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Only seen I am Legend at the flicks recently. Was OK, but I am a bit of a Wil Smith fan. It kept my attention though, and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. If you are made to jump easily and enjoy that sort of thing, go see it... Quote
Sir Greg Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Was dragged to see Juno at the cinema last week. I thought it would be a cheap tacky American teen flick but was really surprised. If the movie is for yourself and the missus it's worth a look. If it's for you and yer mates then maybe not. It's actually quite a good watch and the young girl who plays the main part is definitely future Oscar material. Quote
greeny Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Took the mrs to see Cloverfield last night. Worth a watch! Quote
craig-c Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 took the boy on Saturday to watch Alvin and the chipmonks, i think i enjoyed it more than him and he was laughing his head off But for the Adults, the new Rambo film is very good, worth watching, very action packed i am legend is a good film, but i thought that the Hitman was better, deffo 1 to watch. Barry Ashcroft Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 So is this the first date or the second Quote
frubpato? Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 totally agree with Sir G . went to see Juno cos i just didnt fancy the violence of No country and didnt want to have to concentrate for There will be blood . Juno was very good , cried my eyes out (most films will do that for me) and she was bubbling as well . All very embarrassing in the Odeon ! Quote
dombanks Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 all my mates and swimbo went to see Sweeny Todd so didnt want to be a loner and really enjoyed it. Give it a go and you may be pleasantly supprised (if you have a FACT cinema you get to drink all the way though as well as they have a bar and let you take drink into the screen ) Quote
