joe Mac Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 It's done. I've just received my belgian homologation to registre the first Mazda SEIW kit in Belgium. Car will be registred at the end of next week, after a last inspection to give the car a new identification plate (I have to use the chassis number of the donor) and a custom stamp on the new document. It's a 1600 engine, with 115 HP, lowered floor, detachable arches, in Ivory, with red and magnolia seats, and red carpets, red doors and roof. Kit was bought on the 4st january 2007, car was ready in september, but had to be registred first in Germany, and then homologation in Belgium. Quote
Asterix Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Well done Joe, another famous first for Belgium Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Well done Quote
pistonbroke Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Well done mate , looks like you had a tough job to do Hope you now find all the hassle was worthwhile Quote
pistonbroke Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Well done Registered as a Mazda??? Waszda ? Quote
joe Mac Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 Well done Registered as a Mazda??? No, registred as a Westfield, but need to use the donor vin number for the exhaust pollution test, because if not, I had to use a Euro4 engine. So my car is a 1991 Westfield SEIW. (Back to the future !!) Quote
Update Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Very strange logic in Brussels. Last Dax Rush I have seen in Belgium had a Hayabusa engine registered 1992 in Belgium - UK V5 stating 2002. Quote
joe Mac Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 More strange logic in Germany, where my car was previous registred : in Germany, it was a Mazda NA (first model of mx5), with the color of the Mazda !, the vin of the Mazda, the front an rear axle weight from the Mazda, the wheelbase and the total lenght of the Westie, and they write on the logbook : car equiped with a bodykit *******Westfield (at the place of the¨*****, there was my name as the constructor of the car). So, when I first present the car in Belgium, it was a Mazda Westfield, and now it's a Westfield !! Quote
Belgian Westi Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Goed gedaan! Het is niet eenvoudig om ze hier ingeschreven te krijgen maar geduld loont! Veel plezier ermee! Greetz Quote
joe Mac Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 I just come out the technical control (it's like the MOT in Belgium) with a green card, that allows me to registre the car. The inspectors were very friendly and let me have the green card, but they explain me that my front right suspension doesn't work properly. My car will be registred on friday morning. But, after speaking with Mark Walker at Westfield, for the front right shock, he explains me that all I can do is to send them the shock to be checked. What a frustration to wait to drive the car just when I'm allowed to drive it !! Quote
joe Mac Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 more pictures and infos on my blog (it's in french and in english) : http://mywestfield.skyrock.com/ Quote
joe Mac Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 Car registred but weather is awfull, so the car will rest in the garage and I will work to solve my suspension problem and a misfire between 5,2 Krevs till 6 Krevs. But I suspect it's just an air entrance in the air hose. Quote
