Major Stare Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Looking to organise a work/customer event. Need to be at least half a day karting and an afternoon of quad biking or something similar. Would prefer indoor karting and the venue roughly an hour or so from Nottingham/Derby Area. Anyone been to... Teamworks Karting in Birmingham? Daytona, Milton Keyne's? Quote
westy666 Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 We're booked in to go here next month. Quite a few different options available and tracks are fairly impressive apparently. Quote
Carl Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Been to Whilton Mill a number of times, it's very good. Quote
zoso Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Been to Whilton Mill a number of times, it's very good. Was there last week and it was excellent! Quote
lespaul Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Been to this one which was quite good and the one at Langer is supposed to be good. Darren Quote
Asterix Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Votes here for Amen Corner (outside, grippy and fast) and Langor (inside, slippy and sideways). Both have good karts every time I've been. If you go local and need to make up numbers, give us a shout and I may be able to get a pass out. You taking a child seat? Quote
Rusty Nuts Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Been to team works at brum it was good electric karts a little different track was a bit bumpy in one place can be hard on the old back. Added advantage is your not too far from the balti triangle or the city centre itself. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Jon Priory Park - Tamworth ......... outdoors is much more fun especially when wet Quote
gee_fin Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Indoor kart circuits Outdoor kart circuits For hire karts, Daytona Milton Keynes is excellent. Well ran, good venue (the best for ProKarts/Thunderkarts in my opinion). Whilton Mill is a great circuit, but really needs something two-stroke to make it interesting. It's a bit dull in a ProKart. Club 100 normally visit Whilton Mill and have various levels you can dive in on mind you... Quote
Major Stare Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 Cheers all. Agree outdoor would be better (personal favorite is Buckmore Park). But weather would be an issue, could ruin the day if we have heavy rain Quote
gee_fin Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Only downside to rain is getting wet (although most places supply rain suits), for hire karts, rain is actually more fun as they usually send you out on slicks anyway meaning it feels like you have 1000bhp/tonne instead of 20bhp/tonne Quote
