Can anyone tell me if the crash pad that oes around the dash is a requirement for SVA?

It wasnt when I did my SVA 8 years ago   :0

I made my own dash and didnt have a crash pad, just make sure the bottom edge has a 20mm radius.

All the other edges on mine had a 3mm radius then

I covered it with quite thick leathercloth, so it had a soft touch to it  :t-up:
