erictharg Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Don't know about the Elise, but I ran a VX220 as a daily driver for a year and loved it. Almost practical, 35+ mpg, as fast as you need to go on the road. Only twitchy if you go too fast and there's not enough grip...unlike FWD it will spin easily under the wrong conditions! If you like to drive fast all the time don't get one. If you like to drive fast when conditions are right can't beat it, and I'm sure the same is true of an Elise. Just more fragile. Quote

nikpro Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I know where there is an exceptional Mk2 Elise with a Honda Conversion for sale - it was the first series two to be converted in the country! It is a superbly sorted car and is used by the owner of an independant Elise specialist who developed a Honda conversion that is now widely used in the UK. It has all the right bits with Nitron Suspension/full Simpson Exhaust (Track day legal) and uprated brakes. It has had extensive work done on corner weighting and suspension set-up and when Mark Hales from Circuit Driver did a track test on it he was hugely impressed and quoted 'the usual Elise twitcheness is now gone' The car has also been featured in Practical Performance car and will knock the spotts of any K series or Toyota derrivative! PM me if interested in details Quote
