kingofthetwisties
Guys My fuel guage has never worked since I have had my car and last weekend I ran out of juice whilst out so have decided now is the time to fix it. I have a jaeger guage and there is no power going to it. To test it I want to put another power feed to it but I am not sure which terminal I need to do this with. I expected some markings to say which goes to the battery and which goes to the sender on the back of the guage but their are none and the leads that go into it are both the same colour (green). However, one terminal has a yellow washer and one a green washer so I am assuming this is the key. Anyone have any ideas as I don't want to power up the wrong one and do some damage. kingofthetwisties
Did a 50 / 50 option and put power to one side. Thankfully got it right first time so now its working. however, I have a completly full tank and the guage is only registering half full. Anbody know how I calibrate this? Wayne
I would empty the tank and leave about 3 litres of fuel in the bottom and bend the sender arm until it reads empty. Lift arm to top and see what the gauge is reading. If it isn't reading full, you may want to bend the arm a little, but i would personally have it reading empty with a little fuel left in. Regards, Wayne.
