carpetstu Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I have just had my fixed arch wide tub replaced. The old one is being donated to Carbon Mods so templates can be made! Quote
CarbonMods Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Hi guys, I know it feels like you're waiting an eternity for these but everything higgsi has posted is right. We've got 2 new guys now, both in training, are about to move premisis and have had the task of putting together our first show (stoneleigh) and our next one (newark) to contend with. We've proven that it's not possible to get a perfect fit without a car on site for a few days which is why we've not been able to get the guards right. We had the double doors put on our existing workshop (which is how come we can get the FW in next week) but the situation should be much better when we move (the weekend after newark) because we'll have a large modern workshop with a rollershutter door and 24hr security. Team Carbon Mods has gone from nothing to where we are now in just a year and a half, thanks to the support of WSCC and the wider kit-car community. Stick with us and we'll get all the products we've promised and more perfected and available. Thanks as always, Matt & Paul. Quote
CarbonMods Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Stage one complete on making moulds off carpetstu's SEiW fixed tub and likewise for Steve's FW. We would have done the SEiW first but this is just the way it's worked out. We've got the process to a fine art now and knowing that we've taken the moulds straight off original tubs means we can be 100% sure they're right - the way we want it. I might try to get some pics of the process on the website. I'll keep you all posted, Matt Quote
PeP Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Matt, Do you need to take moulds for detachable, extra wide rear arches because my offer still stands if you need to use my car. I want to pop over to place and order for some stuff, are you still in the old mill? Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Matt, Do you need to take moulds for detachable, extra wide rear arches because my offer still stands if you need to use my car. I want to pop over to place and order for some stuff, are you still in the old mill? Ditto that Quote
CarbonMods Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Terry, Chris, yep, we'll still need one of you in for the extra wide arches. Having just done two sets we've got the technique sorted but it does mean leaving the car with us for 2-3 days. Steve was kind enough to trailer his V8 down and for the fixed arch we've actually got the whole tub! We're at the mill for just 1 more week before the move down to Park Hall Industrial Estate. It's only 10 mins from the mill. FW are complete, I'll be sending an email round tonight to all the FW owning group-buyers. Wide fixed arch will be ready to take products off tomorrow so I'll probably contact those group-buyers tonight too. We've yet to take the big one, the SEiW detachable simply because of when it's been convenient to borrow cars but we have a car lined up and are just trying to schedule it in alongside the move. PeP Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 No problem Matt. Leave it until you have moved and give me a shout, I'm only in Buxton so can pop the car over whenever you need it and can leave it with you too. Terry. Quote

Matt Seabrook Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Very nice and the come up the tub a little more than the Westfield items which is a good thing IMO Quote
