brianm Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Not the biggest sports fan and don't recall if todays format is a follow on to last year, but, it seems there are only 10 options that will be decided by phone vote?? dollar dollar I was racking my brains to think if there was an alternative to the phenominal performance of Louis? Maybe Paula Radcliffe?, No. Then I thought about the girl with cancer who died earlier this year after completing a fantastic number of events/marathons, sorry her name escapes me, thats un- excusable but the subject only just came to mind. Will she get a mention? What better credentials could there be to be in the running? Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 IMHO Joe Calzaghe a boxer who has taken world titles with minimal fuss and total skill however Lewis will win for coming second........... he done well however he has a lot more ahead of him Quote

brianm Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 Brian ............... Amir's very good ................ but he ain't done it yet Did you watch last night Mark?, I intended to but farted and missed it Quote
Mark Stanton Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Amir was just superb last night Brian Why is Ohurogu in the short-list although cleared of drug allegations ................. there are still questions she hasn't fully answered and can be no excuse for why she missed so many requests for tests What about Andy Priaulx - 3 times world champion Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Andy Murray - not won anything but popular with the general public. Lewis Hamilton will win it though. Drinks will be on you Nigel Quote
oldman Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Hatton may have swung it with his last comment Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Bad luck Nigel. I voted for him Fixed if you ask me. Joe who? Quote
nlash Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 That'll teach me to gamble. Something tells me the odds for next years winner (likely to be Hamilton) won't be quite so great Just to keep everyone in the loop, this time last year I placed £20 on Hamilton winning tonight at odds of 300-1. Bang goes my new Westfield I blame the Welsh Quote
