Me dryer has dropped its belt on removal of the side panel it appears the idler gear bearing (if you could call it that) is knackered how do you replace its all plastic covers without screws Its a Hotpoint CTD80 Any help appreciated cheers Karl edited because I got the side panel off Quote

Stuart Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 It's called built in obsolescence - they design parts to wear out that you can't replace. Same thing happened on our tumble drier after 5 years - plastic pulley went out of shape and kept throwing belt off. Couldn't repair it and couldn't buy a spare. So new tumble drier. Quote
