uel90 Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 just thinking out loud ,might like to fit a bonnet scoop on my se, wonderin about what type to use or where to get the right one for the job or maybe it would be easier or cheaper just to change the whole bonnet. I would be able to do all the work involved by myself, cutting fitting, filling ,painting......just an idea for a winter project, would be glad to hear your ideas.. Quote
Jenko Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Have to ask....Why?......do you have cooling issues, or is this just for looks?..... The only scoop I've seen that looks good is the westfield own.....I would say it would be difficult to do your own and get it to look ok... Quote
scooby Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 I had one on my Westfield. It was good for cooling as i was running a turbo. I used a twin 3" NACA duct in a ducted nosecone. Looks great as well..... Quote
craig-c Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 MMMMLovely car mate, are you missing it, or is the new toy pushing your buttons? Quote

scooby Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Scooby How did you deal with the ducted nose when you did this? With very good measurement and time i cut holes in the ducting and ran 3" tubes from the NACA duct through the ducting and vented air where is was needed. Quote
