radar and laser detectors

What do you think is the best radar and laser detector available in G. B. at present, and will they fit on top of the dash behind the standard Westfield aeroscreen?

I have a snooper in my tintop which I swear by, but it is several years old now, and my be something better, or more compact is now available?
