"You make mistake, I punch you on the head!" There is a long list of them, including a well known and very hated/admired German... Quote
bhouse Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I don't think that's a rally at all. I reckon it's the Italian minicab driver that got me from central Rome to the airport in just over 20 minutes earlier this year. Quote
BuGsBuNnY Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Fiumichino or Ciampino? Either one, 20 minutes is Marcus Gronholm territory Quote

cast iron Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I always thought this was impressive: That brings back memories. I went over to marshal that event and got done for speeding passing Phil Collins in his Pink Cosworth. Just shows, that got prime time saturday afernoon sport viewing and wasnt even WRC. Whats happened to decent sport on telly Quote
Guest Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The memory dims with age but I recall one of the first bits of in car footage I saw on TV was back in the 70's. It was Tony Pond in the Rover SD1 on the Manx. Whilst you had a good view of the driver working hard and the rev counter hitting the limiter, and could here the pace notes, you could see virtually nothing through the screen due to thick fog. If anyone can find a copy please let me know! Quote
