fordy
Well, i was more curious on how they would be for sprints, etc - in terms of ratios, etc Friend of mine is looking at buying a westfield for sprinting in the speed series, and a car he has seen has this gearbox. Ill post it in the techie section too - cheers Chris
windy
If you can get an Omega box to fit a Westfield chassis without chopping tubes you'll be very lucky. It's heavy, 1st & 5th ratio's would be useless & the gear shift quality isn't very good. Most people use the 5 speed Getrag box from a manta, its a lot smaller, lighter & has identical ratios to the standard Sierra type 9. fordy
hmm, thanks windy - maybe it is a Manta box then - the guy said he thought it was carlton or omega - its in a MT75 chassis, so has a wide tunnel.
