langy Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 As above really. After an alloy bellhousing to mate a pinto to a type 9 box and a lightened flywheel. Have looked at fleabay and bellhousings are reaching new new money. TIA, Sean
Liam Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Try www.escorttec.co.uk I think that's where I got mine from from memory
scruffythefirst Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Just bought a steel flywheel from TTV racing. Same as in the DT catalogue but cheaper. Hasn't arrived yet though.
langy Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Have just found Autosprint who are based in Coleshill for flywheel lightening and they are only about 5 miles from work
markcoopers Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 scruffy, don't you need a car to put it on first? Or si the caprio getting frisky? Actually i found myself last night on ebay trying to convince the wife to let me purchase an alfa sprint or scirocco. Got to love the eighties.
scruffythefirst Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Cossie lump is going in the capri, its getting a new turbo, ported head and a redline of 9k. Got a 13B single turbo to go in the new dax chassis, builder reckons 600bhp with the right turbo and 12k redline. Nah only joking. Capri breaker is picking it up tommorrow for £625 and the new chassis for the dax will be here in feb.

tex Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 i have a standard flywheel up for grabs if you want to lighten it at machine shop..
Azzacat Posted December 29, 2007 Posted December 29, 2007 Tiger do one! It's a direct replacement for the original and does the job simply and well. There's no need for a new clutch release fork or blanking plate for the extra hole, which are both required if you go the RS2000 route.
