I hope they win, but if they do, they'll still be an embarassment, either because they get stuffed, or cuz they can't avoid spitting out their dummies.

I agree regarding the prima donna labels they've all earned.   The wages are absurd, and using the appelation hero for any footballer is a joke.   Turn up, play a game of football, and underperform, but manage to score a goal occasionally before losing your rag and getting sent off for an absurd show of petulance - heroic, or histrionic?

What about performance related pay for the national side - appearance money, £10 an hour.   Victory bonus - to be paid only when the trophy is brought home - the balance of their current wage deals.   It may not mean they win every tournament, but I bet it'd give them something to be passionate about!

I agree they are grossly over paid and a lot of them are soft tw*ts that embarrass themselves on a regular basis by moaning and diving around like they have shot and they could learn a lot from said 'egg chasers' on how to conduct themselves on the pitch as could the supporters on the terraces

I've often banged on about performance related pay, usually after a few beers mind you, but they could simply use the opta index stats and reward accordingly I mean how many jobs can you still earn 30k plus a week for sitting on a bench because your 'injured'

Anyway I digress, I want England to win tonight because I want the country to be successful and also the Euro's would be cack viewing if they were not there.
