As it says above, has anyone fitted a blower to a Duratec and if so who can supply the kit.

Scooby once said that Noble Motorsport had either supercharged or Tubo'd a 2.0l Duratec and were getting 300+bhp on what he understood was a standard engine.

Mazda do their version of the 2.3 Duratec with a Turbo fitted in the Mazda 3 MPS Clicky  This could be an avenue I look into in the future

No Raceline did it for Caterham on the CSR

I saw the installation, very nice job by Pete McEwan and gave about 320hp with 0.9 boost

SBD and AMMO (Raceco) have both produced normally aspirated 2.0ltr Duratec engines with 300bhp...  :t-up:  if you're going to supercharge it it'll have to make >350bhp to be worth it I reckon  :p

I know a man who has turbo charged a Duratec aiming for north of 600 bhp.  Unfortunately last time round on the dyno the block cracked, seems that there is an inherant weakness in the 2.3 Ranger block.  New block sourced and engine being rebuilt as I write.  However, he now has another toy to play with, a Hayabusa engine that will feature a turbo.

For interest, his last engine was a turbo Zetec that was dyno'd at 462bhp :0  There is a video of a chap with the same engine doing 178mph in a Fiesta (at Brunters of course) Youtube has a copy I believe.
