mmmmdonuts Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 If you do a search on autotrader for Westfields, the model options come up as: Any 1600 1800 7 Mega Megabird Megablade SEi spot the odd one out. possibly more worrying is that searching for the Westfield 7 does actually come up with one! Where is the Seight? and Megabusa? Quote
Fast Westie Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 A Westfield 7 is a pre-lit (pre-litigation) car which was a copy of a Series 3 Lotus Seven and got Westfield in hot water with c******m who sued them, hence litigation. Westfield can no long use the design or the number 7 for any of their cars. Now how could I get number 7 in my race series Quote
Mark Stanton Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 No-one can use the number 7 or word seven in conjunction with open top sevenesque cars cos c******m have the rights to it - so there aren't any RH 7 or Dutt 7 or Dax 7 either -and a lot of clubs aren't allowed to call themselves "7" either Just ask the friendly Belgium and (7 no longer) Roadster Club Quote
Martin Young Posted August 1, 2002 Posted August 1, 2002 I believe the kit car mags were even stopped from using the word 'sevenesque' as well. Instead they use Lotus or c******m seven inspired !! Martin. PS doesn't really matter what its called does it? Just as long as its bl**** good fun !!! Quote
