Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Bear in mind that there are a few variations around on Westfields SEis, and an offset that suits one car, may not suit another without a completely different set of spacers. For instance, my original rears were (IIRC) ET15 15x6 which filled the arches really nicely, the current Team Dynamics are ET38 + 20 mm spacer, (the biggest I could use at the time, though for the life of me I can't remember why ) and have always sat a little too far into the arches for my taste. Though the ET38 was fine on the fronts - after the traditional bending of stays. It's worth finding out whats on there at the moment, then you can work out what you want. Quote

adamnreeves Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 doesnt rim width have a bearing on et ive got 7 inch rims et24 perfect isnt the offset the measurement from the rim to the centre boss meaning it is relative so makes no difference? Quote
jedi Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 surely a 6 inch rim et 24 would not stick out as much as 7 inch rim et 24 hence you would need a lower et to compensate on the 6 inch Quote

davebo Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 I got my Pro Race 1.2 wheels. They look really good. The only probelm is that the nuts I received with the wheels don't fit the studs on the rear hubs. The front hubs are Cortina ones, whereas the rear are westfield ones. The nuts fit fine on the front. I phoned westfield and they said rear ones were standard Ford 12mmx1.5. I have looked at other posts on here and some suggest that fronts might be 7/16in and rear are as westfiled said. So I ordered some 12mmx1.5s and they do seem to have a slighlty bigger bore (7/16 being 11.1mm). But these are too small for rear hubs too. Can anyone confirm what size the thread is on the westfield rear hubs ? Thank you Quote
