Busy Sean Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 hi every one, just making the final preparations for the collection of my SDV Siera kit.I have access to a merc sprinter with a load bed of 3.5m will this be adequate for collection purposes? also my collection is from Crossroads cars in Shipton On Stour other than not having the factory tour (already had) is there anything different to this set up? Can't wait to start building and no doubt asking a million and one questions!! Cheers ,Sean Quote
Tigger Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Welcome Sean, Providing it's a detachable arch bodywork your getting (which I believe the SDV is?) then it shouldn't be a problem. Take blankets and /or corrugated cardboard for packing the bits in as they may move about. Don't know anything about Crossroads I'm afraid but shouldn't be any different if the kit is the same. Yes you will have plenty of questions but before Blatman jumps on your back, try doing a search first, it can answer many already asked questions and also visit the FAQ section Good luck with the build Tigger Quote
white van man Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 not all sdv kits have the removable arches its an option!! my louton was very full yesterday there wasnt much floor space laft!! Quote
perksy Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Welcome Take plenty of Packing/Bubble wrap etc to stop any damage to the GRP etc Plus Rope/straps to prevent everything moving around in the back of the van Read the build manual a few times before you start the build Anything that isn't clear, make a note, you can then find the answers on here (hopefully ) HTH Quote
