Steve20 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Does anyone have experience with the cockpit covers as advertised in page 15 of the latest mag, company called "Walker StClair" appreciate comments before I order one. Thanks Steve Quote
Tigger Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Yep, I have one and it's great. They have since modified it so you can bungy down the sides so nothing can get into the cockpit. Folds up so small, just put it behind the seat and forget about it until you need it, saved my car from a soaking a few times now Tiggs Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Steve The only down side I can see with the cover advertised in the club mag is 1) where does the front hook up? can't see any straps and would be easily blown off in a light wind 2) Its expensive I can get a full breathable water proof car cover for £40. green-light-on Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 It would be nice to have the mag to look at page 15 Gray. Quote
Crazy Eddie Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 This is the one isn't it: ryZ100921QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem" target="_blank">Link Very good service and I really rate mine I just wrap mine round back of car (avoiding hot exhaust ) and at the front it just hooks over the mirrors and happy days. Good service too give him a bell, it put my mind at rest Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Eddie just had a look at the pickys I see how its attached now good idea. I think I'll convert my old full cover as its knacked as I keep burning it on the ends of the underslung exhaust buzz Quote
Bean Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 How about something like this? Lightweight Tonneau Or this Tailored Tonneau Covers My full car cover is no longer very waterproof, I'm seriously considering getting a tonneau to fit. The factory isn't that far from me in Sussex, worth a visit in the Westfield. Quote
chappers Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 How about something like this? Lightweight Tonneau Or this Tailored Tonneau Covers The soft bits tonneau is excellent and can be specified to what you want. £300 for this: Bit more than the £50 for a cockpit cover though. I might even get one of those cockpit covers to keep the car totally dry even when the tonneau is fitted. Can't use my whole car cover until the exhaust is cool, so one I can fit just over the cockpit sounds like a good idea. Quote
Bean Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Ah, thought they were closer to half that Prices Quote
Bean Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 It impairs vision whilst driving. Having a tonneau cover? Quote
