worldwidewebs Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Due to a change in circumstances I am reluctantly selling my Westfield. Originally built in 1997 but completely rebuilt in 2005 with the intention of doing sprints and hillclimbs (although I never had time). The rebuild included replacing pretty much everything, including completely new suspension (dampers, springs, wishbones), steering, braking system, cooling system, electrics, bodywork, seats, harnesses, instruments and gauges. In fact, the only bits not replaced were the chassis, engine and diff. Since then I have fitted a new Quaife gearbox and Jenvey throttle bodies with Emerald 3D ECU. The car is immaculate and my pride and joy and I guarantee you won't find a better prepared and properly set up car for the money. If you have any questions, please ask. The full spec is: Westfield SEiW Race chassis Dunnel 2 litre Zetec giving over 200bhp on Jenvey throttle bodies Emerald 3D ECU (mapped by Dave Walker at Emerald) Widebody race chassis with independent rear suspension Welded in RAC rollbar Lightweight bodywork in black with detachable rear arches Bonnet exit stainless exhaust and 4-2-1 manifold custom-made by JP Exhausts Procomp widetrack front suspension (mainly rosejointed) Procomp front and rear ARBs AVO aluminium bodied adjustable dampers with spherical bearings and 2.25" springs Full set up including corner weighting by ProComp Quickrack Cortina uprights modified for correct Ackerman angle Aluminium hubs Bias adjustable brake bar Wilwood Powerlite calipers with Wilwood pads (front) Aluminium Golf calipers (rear) Lightened and cross drilled brake discs Quaife semi-helical Heavy Duty Type-9 gearbox built by SP Components (capable of taking up to 275bhp). Glen H Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Sounds an absolute cracking car with a very high spec - will make someone a cracing road / trackday weapon - good choice in colour as well
Sir Greg Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Cracking car with a fantastic spec. For the money you're asking, I'd say it was worth every penny! Good luck with the sale, and a great car for someone.
Bananaman Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Have to say I know this car/driver and it's a cracking car, Andy does not skimp on things and is a bit of a perfectionist (this shows with the car ) Sorry to see that your selling...
Karl Woolf Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Again absolutely immaculate car, must be seen the flesh to be appreciated. Sorry to see your selling Andy
worldwidewebs Posted October 24, 2007 Author Posted October 24, 2007 SOLD! It should be on its way to Tewkesbury this weekend to a virgin Westfield owner and keen trackday participant. I know he's keen to join the club so I'll pass on his details to the respective AO if that's ok. Honda Elise here I come...
