Kevin Jones Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Hi Wayne, Can't say what effect 275lbs (normally just for car engined westies) would have but 200lbs works fine and they are cheap to replace anyway if you don't get on with them. Getting the car to handle "mint" is very dependant on how you use it most. If its going to be a track baby then getting your tyres & ride height/flat floor sorted is the big item, others are putting on ARBs and setting them front/back and just having an LSD in the diff. For road use things are a bit simpler as you shouldn't be running so close to the limit so its more about your comfort/preference usually. There is loads of info if you search but it can conflict a bit. Give us a clue on how you think you would like to use it and somewill will fill ya in. Kev Quote
fireblade wayne Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 hi kev, to be honest it will be mainly road use i live in shropshire and the roads are mainly country b roads so dont wanna make it too hard, happy to have more than 1 set of springs if thats what i need.ive ordered both arb's and the wider track front arms.also ordered an lsd so got that sorted so far.also wanna run 15" wheels. i think the softer springs may work better for on the road coz they aernt the best! really appreciate the advice uv given me its all helpin and noted. let me know what u think. thanks.wayne Quote
Crazy Eddie Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Hiya Wayne, Just a quick bit of advice, IMHO of course, and that is if you are mainly going to use on the raod then I would have thought that the ARB's may be a bit dodgey or be adjusted to the degree they aren't doing anything anyway. Also I personally prefer 13" wheels on my Blade to keep the unsprung weight down and the handling is great. You are more than welcome to see mine / have a ride in it to see how it drives so as to make a more real life informed decision. Be interested to see yours too as local Cheers Eddie Quote
