Alfa Romeo Powered Westfield

Has anyone ever built a Westfield powered by an Alfa Romeo engine, in particular a V6?

If so, I'd be interested to see some pictures.

Cheers

There was an Alfa V6 engined car around (assuming I remember correctly) back in the mid 90's. It used to run in the Westfield race series. I may have a picture or two, but to be honest it looks like any other Westfield. I don't have any detail or pics of the install.

Suffice to say that you'll spend a lot of time fabricating bespoke parts if you decide to go that route...

If it was around in the 90's I'd bet it's now broken down or rusted..........

The chassis isn't plastic...

And my engine mounts were made of fudge. And not very thick fudge at that

That said, my 1989 narrow chassis is still in fine fettle, thankyouverymuch...

Ahh yes, but that (I suspect) has never come into contact with anything from Alfa, and therefore has a fighting chance......

I've never been in a car that rattled so muoh for a 3 year car... perhaps throwing away the car and putting a new car around the engine could be the perfect Alfa solution!

I love Alfa's, expecially the engines. I'd struggle to ever justify buying one though!

I suppose it's sort of like bi-metallic corrosion

RWD Alfas have transaxles don't they? So even that wouldn't be very straightforward and conisdering even the V6s only make 150 - 200bhp I'd question the value of engineering such a conversion.

I know late natasp V6s from front drive cars can make 350bhp quite easily, which would be stonking, but you're looking at plenty of effort to get one to fit.
