potenza Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 All those interested in the WSC bulk order, please contact the factory and speak with Dave Lane in the parts department. He will need your name, contact details and of course credit/debit card details. Currently prices will be at the 5 orders rate. If more orders are in before the end of the week (taking it to 10 or above) you will of course get the 10+ rate. You will not be charged until we dispatch the goods. The order has been placed, and currently we anticipate a lead time of 4 weeks. Best regards Paul Quote
neilb Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 We have 5 people for the group buy but for anyone else interested the prices are as follows: Dash2: £448 + £6 Shipping Dash2 + DL1 £940 + £8 Shipping Thanks Neil Quote
Tigger Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I've been following this thread for a while and I'm tempted but still not sure. It appears to me that (Like Adam has mentioned) you could get a better discount if 10 were bought from Westfield. Now this may seem stupid but .... Why don't you ask Paul from Westfield if he can get the Standard Dash2 / DL1 and sell both types to the bulk buyers, this would enable max savings for all - Surely? Just a thought Tigger Quote
dibbly Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Neil, I'll have one of your bulk buy dash's providing you can turn them around reasonably quickly as we discussed. Loom looks dead simple and I want to use stainless-steel switches so that kind of rules out the WSC one for me, even at the 10+ price. I'll risk SVA, but will probably fit a separate Handbrake light somewhere temporarily permanent if you know what I mean Also, I found a hall effect speed sensor for £22, Oil press for £15 and Water temp for £10.....result Send me some details and I'll bung a cheque in the post. DavidC Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Wayne, where did you find that £22 hall effect sensor? Does it need magnets or can it sense the drive shaft bolt heads like the one that WSC supply? Do you know if it fits in the regular mount on the rear of the chassis? DC Quote
potenza Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 We can supply the DASH2 in standard RT format. DASH2 price : £400+VAT (regardless of quantity or version) DASH2 + DL1 : £800+VAT (regardless of quantity or version) @ 10 off can do DASH2 (either version) + LOOM : £488.80 Loom includes 4 IP67 buttons. If using with the RT version of the DASH you will need to contact RT for support. Best regards Paul Quote
dibbly Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Sensor is here, It seems to be suitable, maybe not with the Westfield overlay harness though, another reason for me to make my own Edited to add, this company also do some nice stainless switches for not much moolah, postage is free too! Quote
DavidC Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Will that need magnets as well or can that sensor work off the bolt heads? Quote
RichB Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 dibbly/DavidC/anyone else, I can get these from Farnell at the 'max quantity' price for any quantity i.e. 7.27+VAT = £8.54 each , only criteria is minimum order of £20 ex.VAT so would need to order at least 3, but looks like there's at least 3 of us after a suitable sensor. If we can confirm its suitability, I'm happy to do this and send them out - just let me know. Rich. Quote
dibbly Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I no expert on these things, someone more clever than me will hopefully confirm soon.....but the fact that it is an inductive sensor I think means it doesn't need magnets. link If you look at the PDF link on the Farnells page it tells you more stuff.... DavidC Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Yep, put me down for one too. Does Paul's (Potenza) latest update make a difference to the guys on the original bulk buy? Quote
dibbly Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Not for me, the original is still cheaper isn't it (£380 vs £400) ? Gutted I've already ordered my sensor Quote
RichB Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Ah of course......RTFM......I've perused the datasheet and it looks like it should output a nice square wave between 0.6v and 10v, so sounds suitable (will need +12v feed, ground, and signal wire to dash). So far we have: RichB x1, DavidC x1, neilb x1/2 (tbc). Total = 3/4 Quote
