humm.... it still does not match the £457.20 inc. vat and delivery.

I’m sticking to the original bulky buy that includes the standard loom if it’s still going ahead.

Okay Paul, I'm a definite on the Dash2+loom. I'll keep my fingers crossed for another 9 people as £488 for the whole lot in plug-n-play for is a bargain.

Yes that looks like a decent deal - Im good for the Dash2+Loom+Carbon Effect panel.

One Q: does the panel have ears or is it straight lined along the lower edge?

cheers

R

PS Come on everyone - only 8 more!  Every little helps :D

The carbon effect panel has a rolled lower edge and comes pre cut to accept standard Westfield switchgear (square switches).

As my car's got an aeroscreen, is it possible to get a dash with holes for just the hazard, headlight and fog light rocker switches? I'm using toggle switches insider the exclusion zone for the indicators and main beam, and a big red button for the horn. If so, I may be in for a dash too.......maybe.

I have 4 for the original bulk buy, just need 1 more to make it happen...

BTW if you need any wiring accessories like multi-way connectors, heat shrink tube, crimping tools, terminators etc I can supply them as well.

Paul, a question about looms - does it come with the standard manufacturers loom as well as the custom one you're supplying?

Some answers:

DavidC : As the carbon effect dash is CNC cut from CAD we can only provide with cutouts for standard set of switches.  However, we can provide a dash blank in carbon effect at the same price point.

RichB : I have attached an image of the WSC loom.  The standard RT loom is modified into the WSC loom as indicated.  The RT loom (connector with flying leads) is provided when just a DASH is ordered.  Please not the WSC loom incorporates the switches (extra from RT), and resistors/diodes required to integrate with standard senders.

Also please note that the WSC loom has been split by a block connector, and this will become the future standard connector for all dashes, so the DASH2 and loom will work on future WSC vehicles.

Hope this helps.

Paul, I'll stick with my original plan then and just go for th eDash2 + loom.  I can modify and retrim my existing dash to suit easily enough.

Is the loom in that photo the full loom? I can see the connectors for the Dash2, a PC, 4 buttons, tacho and speedo connector. I'm assuming the leads with spade connector at the top are for the warning lights but where are the connectors for the fuel level, oil pressure and coolant temperature?

Posted

DavidC - the spades also fit for the fuel gauge etc.  Only one input is required from the 3 pin connectors to the standard gauges (result of having common ground and supply to the dash).  The wiring is easy as the leads are colour coded to match the vehicle loom, and step by step instructions are provided.

The only other item required is some electrical tape or heat shrink to secure the spade connections to these 3 block connectors as they have a low mechanical grip. This is all detailed in the fitting instructions provided with the unit.

Regards

Paul
