DavidC Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 oooooooh, for some reason I'm very tempted by this. Could someone post the overall dimensions of the display, I need to know if I can use my current dash with this? DC Quote
neilb Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 The unit is 150.5mm wide by 102.5mm high with a total depth of 20.5mm or 33.5 if you include the sockets. PDF of dimensions is here Just checked with them and delivery to me was quoted at £20 + Vat for 5 units (seems a bit on the high side but I assume there is a large amount of insurance with that) Royalmail Special Delivery to you should be £6 as I am told the box is less than 1kg if they are just over then it will £7.75, this included £500 of cover. So I work that out as £457.20 delivered. Also anyone interested in the Data Loggers etc we should get 20% off if we have 5 or more. Thanks Neil Quote
Guest Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'm rather tempted by the dash and the datalogger... its a great combo, and better featured than the AIM MXL (GPS specifically) for the same cash. Can we get Dash + Data logger for under £900? Quote

DavidC Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'm gonna regret this, but as I was just about to waste money on an iPod I think I'll spend wisely and got for the Dash2 instead. Count me in for one. DC Edit: I should add that if Paul from Westfield comes back from the meeting today able to match this deal, I'll buy from WSC instead purely because I'll need to pass an SVA with this dash and the standard steering wheel fitted. Guest Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'm almost definite.... i just need to confirm it will work with my CAN protocol on an MBE992c/Hayabusa. They say it does "as long as MBE supports a standard can protocol unlike motecs". That's not very definite.... any one here know ? Quote
neilb Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 List so far then: Dash2 - Bill King, michaelcoombs, stueyb & Me as definites carlmeek, DavidC - probably Garry Bunn, Adam123, adamnreeves, DanB and Paul Hurdsfield - interested DL1 - cidersurfer, DanB Is this right ? Quote
DanB Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'd be interested in a DASH2 and a DL1 - that's what I was going to fit on the racer anyway... Quote
Darrell O'Neill Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Must resist..... I need a new gearbox.... Quote
dibbly Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'm looking for a dash at the minute...was looking at the digidash 2 lite. I'm not great at understanding electronic stuff.....can anyone advise how this unit compares, in a bangs/buck and feature sense? Ta Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Must resist..... I see you are coming over to the dark side young Oneill I told you before you brought a Westfield that your pockets would soon empty Quote

Not 100% on the technicality of this but if you can send me the info on the Emerald I will pass it on. The CAN interface is an extra £100 + Vat as standard (sales guy was not in to ask about discounts) HTH Neil Quote
michaelcoombs Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 thanks I have sent an e-mail to emerald to ask for info. Quote
