neilb Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Looking into sorting out a group buy in the Race Technology Dash 2 (as sold by Westfield) I can get them for £400 + Vat at the minute, if I can get some idea of numbers that are interested I will see what more I can do. Thanks Neil Quote
nikpro Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 They are offering 20% off in the Kit Car press at the moment anyway - might be worth asking for a bit more? Quote
neilb Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 They are offering 20% off in the Kit Car press at the moment anyway - might be worth asking for a bit more? That's the £400 + VAT Price, normally they sell for £500 + VAT, I think that with the strong £ to $ rate they are getting them at a good price. Apparently the US versions have a different firmware version, basically this is done to stop people buying them from the states and getting support from the UK..... Quote
adamnreeves Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 If the price were to drop below the £400 mark I would be very interested. edited to add: I would suggest that you look at what is involved in importing them from the states if the saving is substantial (could be half price!) and re-blowing the firmware if necessary. neilb Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 USD List price is $965 so I don't think it's worth looking into. Quote

potenza Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Just a heads up from the factory. The new dash being offered by Westfield has been tailored from the standard Race Technology unit in order to pass SVA as we had concerns over the positioning of the handbrake warning lamp in relation to visibility with a standard steering wheel. As a result the loom we supply for the unit, which simplifies the retro fitting to a 15 minute process does not work with the standard Race Tech unit. I am meeting with our supplier tommorrow to discuss the deal they are currently offering and any scope they can provide for us to duplicate it. Paul Faithfull, Technical Director, WSC Quote
Captain Colonial Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I'd like to buy the car attached to it that's doing 154 mph @ 6,000 rpm with no fuel, and no oil pressure. With it at only 0.2 throttle position at that speed, by my reckoning, it should be able to hit 77,000 mph at 3,000,000 rpm in 3,000th gear at full chat without filling up. Hope the brakes are up to it. Quote
Guest Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I'm possibly interested.... Its a toss up between this and an AIM MXL, still deliberating! Quote

Neil, they are made in the UK as RT are a UK based company - pretty sure they don't buy them from the states? Quote
