Mark Stanton Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 QUOTE The only prob with it is that there is no chassis plate with it as the owner has never had 1. Be very careful copies of chassis do exist might be the only problem but it is a major one It should still have a chassis No stamped into a couple of chassis rails front bottom cross member and top angle member - check these with Westfield QUOTE Wot will i have to do as it aint got 1. be prepared to walk away if it doesn't stack up and check out Quote
cavbow Posted September 12, 2007 Author Posted September 12, 2007 wot if everything is all fine with it can i get a new number Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 If it ain't got a genuine chassis number that clearly identifies it as a Westfield - walk away Chassis plates can be lost at times ................. however chassis numbers are always stamped into various chassis members - no numbers = potentially troublesome - how are you gonna register it for road use SVA, MOT etc etc would you buy a tin-top without a chassis plate and number Quote
samcooke Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 shoodunt b a prblm getin a noo pl8 if u can proov 2 westfeeld that u own the chassis. Quote
Flipatron Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Could be a stolen or even written off chassis. Westfield won't recognise it as a Westfield and you'll probably get less money when you come to sell (presuming you can SVA it). I'd walk away. Quote
