Pilot Pete Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 These are very good times indeed and are excellent for the power you have available; I did notice the video posted of the clear lap was about a 2.01.I pressume from the pictures taken on the day you were running slicks or am I mistaken? Yeah, "forumla cast-off" slicks as I like to call them. Just used ones from Forumla Renaults and BMW's I think, but do feel nicer to drive on than the 888's and are a hell of a lot cheaper! Quote

Your lines are excellent and this is obviously where you are making up the time along with a very good car set-up. These times that you were acheiving help to highlight the point I'm trying to make in that you don't need to spend lots on an engine to go faster; there are cheaper and more satisfying ways. I pressume from the pictures taken on the day you were running slicks or am I mistaken? oh i wish i had a £ for every time pilot wished he had more power agree for a 140hhp pinto that car with cap or Pete behind the wheel it punches above it's weight but is this not a perfect case for a car wanting more power how fast could it be with extra grunt Quote

Pilot Pete Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 oh i wish i had a £ for every time pilot wished he had more power So did I, as you could give me your car for free! Also you would probably be drinking more of the cheeky whites and entertaining us with your not so sober postings. Jeff, You can only compare driving abilities if were driving the same cars.... or Karts even, yes Karting, theres an interesting topic. Quote

Andrew Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 QUOTE so are we making progress in thinking that a track day regular , with good brakes and and decent suspension would benefit from a power hike .. ?? You on the bottle yet? I reckon, *gulp* there are four areas of performance identified. Power, brakes, suspension, and driver ability. Improve any one of them and you'll be quicker round any circuit. Upping the engine power is probably the most expensive option though... But, each to their own... Quote
