Gents.

I bought some sabelt 4 point harnesses but hit a dilemma! the harnesses come with bolts at the ends for screwing into something which dont fit my eye bolts. Any idea where i can get an attachment that will fit the harness and clip to my eye bolts.

cheers guys

Hard to picture what you describe. Have you got a piccy or a link so we can see what you mean?

*Most* harnesses either attach via 'hooks' onto the eye bolts, or otherwise are bolted directly to the anchorage points using high tensile bolts...

Stu.

I have fitted eye bolts to car at rear in usual place. However my harnesses have high tensile bolts instead of clips to attch to the eye bolts

It would sound like you dont need the eye bolts then - I'm guessing that your belts are the type that bolt straight to the chassis anchorages.

However, using this type of belt fixing may cause issues further on down the line. The belts need to be a minimum height from the seat base for SVA - depending on the seats used they may struggle to meet the dimensions required...

Chris just go and buy the bolts that you require and remove you eye bolts.

Hi Chris,

drop a line at steve@sabelt.co.uk (or com, dont remember 100%). He has always been very helpful and should be able to sort you out. I would suggest taking a few pics of the harnesses so that the problem can be diagnosed easier.
