Phil. S Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Unfortunatey the Westfield is not getting used now I have the Elise, so it's got to go. It had a full geo setup and corner weighting at Northampton motorsports earlier this year, and has a 170bhp red top on webers, Yokohama A032 tyres, Protech ally shocks, Fluke carbon half-doors, PlaysKool carbon aeroscreen, quick rack, RAC roll bar, new bonnet, vented wings, etc etc. £5,995 ono Loads of info on the car since I've had it on my website. Here it is at Brands with the old (crazed) bonnet: (and yes, that is snow in the background) And here it is in the driveway with the new bonnet: Full details and pics on Pistonheadshttp://www.pistonheads.com/sales/213716.htm
Mark Purves Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 It is Perksy, it also not good news for us narrow bodied XE owners. Hopefully my etc BHP would make a difference if not the colour scheme.

skOOby Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Sorry to see you're selling Phil. I've followed this car on one occasion - it's a very quick, sorted car for someone! skOOby
Bean Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I've been in the car. Very well setup narrow bodied (the best shape IMO) XE powered car.
Phil. S Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Thanks for all the comments. It's priced to sell, given that there's not a lot of summer left, and the market for a track focused car is more limited. Though if it sells quickly (within a few weeks) I'll wonder whether I could have got more for it. I can easily see myself getting another Westfield in the future. I miss the power and especially the view from the driver's seat. Also the seat is more comfortable than the Elise one, which is a little too upright for me. (Has anyone tried to fit a Westfield racing seat in an Elise?) The Elise is more of a compromise, but that suits me better at the moment. Perhaps if I park in the far corner you'll still let me come along to the monthly meets .
skOOby Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Perhaps if I park in the far corner you'll still let me come along to the monthly meets . Someone still needs to organise us Thames Valley lot! skOOby

Someone still needs to organise us Thames Valley lot! skOOby Yeh, I need to sort that out. You volunteering? That reminds me, I need to put out a reminder for the monthly meet on Sunday.
Leon B Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Hey Phil, sorry to hear you're selling up. Will you be going to the Lotus On Track events in your Elise now? Were you at Brands in July? Sure I saw your name but never found you?!?!

Sure I saw your name but never found you?!?! Yeh, you too. I will be doing LOT events still in the Elise (done two already ), but it wasn't me in July. There is another Phil.S on LOT with a Honda Elise, so I guess it was him. Next in line is Donington at teh end of the month, if I can sort out an intermittent problem with the Elise.
Bean Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I bet you were sad to see it go, it was a cracking car. Who did it go to?
Phil. S Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 I bet you were sad to see it go, it was a cracking car. Who did it go to? Well it hasn't physically left yet. I just have a deposit. It was sold to a man and his two sons who plan to share it for track days and fun drives. Ideal for what they want and split three ways very cheap. And the father is a Vauxhall mechanic who knows the engine well. I'll probably bump into them at track days in the future, probably making my Elise look very slow.
