Hi Guys,

after much searching and investigations... i have bought my first 'seven' today...

Its a Raw Striker with blade engine... plan is mainly for racing, will prob get it down to AB performance for a proper corner weight and geometry set up etc etc..... before i bring it back home..

is membership to the WSCC specifically for westfields ? or sevens, but with a stronger following of actual westfield owners. ?

good stuff... will look into joining in that case..

looking forward to getting the car on track, will maybe catch a track day somewhere on route to bringing back to ireland... maybe in 2-3 weeks..

Yea - the striker seems a good choice for me - had to be a seven shape for the race series here... and blade power.. the striker is a small little thing and they seem (to me) to be more focussed on race rather than road.... certainly wouldn't compare the general finish etc with a westy... but thats not what i'm after for this baby....

Can't fault your choice of engine :D and the Striker seems a good package TBH.

All the best and look forward to racing career :)

Strikers are great cars.. congrats  :)

As you say a bit smaller than a westie. Some poeple say the handling is better on the striker than a westie.

Hope it goes well and look forward to heaing more about your exploits.

If you haven't already found it have a look at Richard Miles'  striker R1... this is the nicest striker I ever saw

Congrats G'mark.

Son (aka Strikerboy) and I have been members of the WSCC for some years, and Striker owners since 2004.

You'll get told to p*** off frequently (see above). In fact, the more competitive you are, the more it'll happen  --  perversely, it becomes a badge of honour. WSCC is still a great little club though.

There's even a special class in the Speed Series for people with an unfortunate taste in Se7ens. It'd be good to see you out if you ever get across here.

Enjoy both the car and the club      :D

mine has the tango effect pain scheme too !!

must say having looked at westfields, MK Indys, stuart taylors etc etc.. the striker really is a tiny thing.... not much bigger than a kart i used to race !!
