a4gom Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Cheers stu, stick us down for either or both days then. We will be travelling down fri and leaving sun so i might as well put the car in both days rather than leave it in the car park on the trailer unless you are over subscribed then we'll do either day, we'll be spending both days in the park anyway. Where abouts in the park do they display the cars, its a while since I went but IIRC its on a bit of a hill and I don't remember much free space. Quote
carpetstu Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 Andy I will put you in for the two days mate. Please Pm me your details including the names and ages of those coming with you. Still spaces to fill all so get me your details across if you want to attend. Last year we where on the edge of the car parks, with barriers erected. Quote
The 2C's Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Hi New to the club. Just bought my 1st ever kit car. A Westfield SE at the age of .......... Well 64. Went into your link Stu and Lotus 7 club page came up. Does that mean they'll be there as well? I could be intersted in coming (to my 1st event) but need to confirm dates. Chris Quote
carpetstu Posted August 7, 2007 Author Posted August 7, 2007 Yes the catering van crew will be there with about 12 cars on both days. The guy who buys the theme park rides for Legoland drives a Caterham and so does my Brother... Hence the extended invite to the Westie owners. I am still looking for more Westie owners for both days------ Come on lets not be out done by the competition. Mind you I think we do have a Dutton coming too. Quote

Asterix Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 thanks to the Winfer brothers for organising this. Had a smashing day on saturday, despite arriving late (amazing amount of traffic on the way in). Met office underestimated the weather, warm and sunny most of the day (as it was when we left london on sunday am. Met and chatted with some really nice people. Got a couple of leads for the sale. Had a great day on the park with the kids, got soaked on the rapids, may just have been able to blag some free tickets for the park. Was worth attending for the mad rush down the park's service road in the dark at about 1830hrs. Dusk had fallen and you had several "7's", a couple of trailered vehicles, some rescue vehicles, Astons, Fezzas et al whooping it down this rough road cutting out all the daytrippers queuing on the normal exit road. Simon led us out of the park, he'd offered to show us a shortcut out of Windsor, avoiding the queues. Some brisk, clutch slipping, driving later, i was grinning, the kids were laughing and Liza was having kittens (how i larfed...inwardly ). Thx for the shortcut m8e. Again, thinks to the Winfer brothers for doing this, see you again next year (or maybe at the Stafford meets - gonna have to hold Liza to that suggestion ). Quote
simonbesant Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 We Were only taking it easy as i knew you didn't know the roads sorry if it worried the good lady wife!! Thanks to the Winfer brothers as well from all my family they really enjoyed the day. 16500 people through the gates WOW!! I hope Stuarts car stopped squealing (when the belts off stuart check the water pump and other pullies for any play) If the event is on next year guys count me in. The service road was a bit tight the corners were interesting at speed and with a large trailer on the back Really good bunch of people and the staff at legoland really looked after you as well. the trial bike show wa good as well thanks again guys Hope Sunday was as good.
