carpetstu Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Hi all, I mentioned to a few of you that we had an invite from Legoland Winsor to take 10 or 12 cars down on Sat 22nd and 23rd Sept, for their annual Amazing Machines Weekend. This is now confirmed. I need to gather names of those intending on going. Please be aware the 12 cars is an absolute maximum. (so thats 11 places left!) This involvement is been arranged by my brother and a details can be seen by clicking the following link I attended last year and was the only Westie there amongst 12 Caterhams. I managed at the time to swing an extended invite for this year. http://www.blatchat.com/T.asp?id=127361 Cheers stuart Quote

carpetstu Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 Yes I will go for the two days Perksy. We could do a convoy down on the Friday evening or whatever. I have the option of staying at my brothers for the weekend as he only lives 20 mins from Legoland, but don't mind a hotel as a second option. Cheers Stu. I will be taking two cars so the family can go as well Quote
carpetstu Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 I can't believe the lack of response so far. This is the ideal opportunity for Westie's to go on a day out with the family (if you take two cars)!!!!! Quote

Asterix Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I* am in for Saturday. *Plus SWMBO plus jam eaters. Quote
a4gom Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Pretty good chance I will be up for either or both days, mentioned it to the bride and she didn't throw a wobbler so thats a good start. As usual though she needs more details before I can confirm. What time do we need to be there, what happens during the day, i.e. do we need to be with the car all day, is it a static display or do we drive about etc, what time does it all finish, need to think about getting bin lids home for school next day etc, IIRC its about 4 hours each way without the trailer so need to add a bit on to that. If we are up for it how do we book / confirm? Quote
carpetstu Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 Last year I went for the Sunday and spent most of the day with the car while the misses went around the park with the kids. Mind I did go off for a while with a VIP tour of the back of stage. Its a static display. Some of the Catering van guys and I did allow (by invite ) some of the younger members of the public the opportunity to sit in the cars with supervision. The weekend is open to either of the two days or both if you want to go for the weekend but the cars have to be removed from site at the end of each day. Most of the other details can be found on the link from my first post. As for confirming your attendance, just PM me with your confirmation stating which day or both and personal details and you will be on the list. Last year I sent personal details in advance to my brother and collected a welcome pack when on arrival at Legoland. It will be the same this year and I will forward all the Westie attendance details to my brother. Cheers Stuart Quote
a4gom Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 0k thanks, what about times, are you expected there at a certain time? its the start time more than the finish time really. if we come we'll have to stay in a hotel fri and sat night so will be local but getting the ankle biters up n fed ain't that easy. so many questions, its much easier when there's just me to sort out. carpetstu Posted July 31, 2007 Author Posted July 31, 2007 The times are from opening to close of day but last year the odd one or two arrived a liitle late and that was ok. Quote
